AWS Developer

We have an exciting opportunity for an AWS Developer to join our award-winning start up in central London.

As a key member of our software delivery team the AWS Developer will allow us to consistently improve the user journey for Green Running customers through delivery of improvements and new product features. Working collaboratively with software delivery colleagues on our product roadmap you will bring your skills and experience to bear in an exciting and dynamic environment that encourages the use of new ideas and technologies.

We take energy monitoring to the next level allowing our customers to understand how much their appliances cost them to run so they can make savings, lower their carbon footprint and, for our commercial customers, meet their sustainability targets.

As an AWS developer you will:

  • Create different AWS services like API, RDS instances and Lambda to build server-less applications
  • Create a Redshift cluster and doing data warehouse.
  • Experience in using virtual servers specifically EC2 instances within AWS.
  • Create different S3 buckets and write Lambda functions to requirements.
  • Implement Kibana (or similar) on top of AWS technology.
  • Create alerts (custom and managed) for different services.
  • Extract log data and create custom logs.
  • Work with Software Owner and development teams to manage and meet project deadlines by ensuring appropriate test coverage is considered and implemented.

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive AWS experience with examples of success.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing Agile environment
  • Advanced knowledge of software development theory, but more importantly practical experience of implementing on real projects
  • Able to execute software applications with complex business logic
  • Strong written and communication skills
