We are delighted to announce that we have been short-listed for two Energy Innovation Awards!
The awards, organised by the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC) are in their fourth year, and their aim is to drive forward innovation by bringing together the UK’s energy leaders with talented small businesses and innovators.
Green Running are up for Best Smart Grid Innovation, and Chief Technology Officer and Founder Peter Davies is up for a Rising Star Award!
Green Running have developed a high speed, non-intrusive energy monitoring product which will allow users to gain a greater understanding of the energy usage of their individual appliances, by providing them with a real-time and daily breakdown report showing how each of their larger appliances are effecting their power usage, how much they are costing, and where savings can be made.
For a Distributed Network Operator (DNO), this will provide a greater understanding as to how larger appliances and items such as wind turbines and PV are effecting the grid. The device also provides vital information into the effects of items such as Power Factor, Voltage, Harmonics and Demand Response. This device is up for the Best Smart Grid Innovation Award.
Peter Davies, CTO and Founder of Green Running has been nominated for a Rising Star award. Peter is an entrepreneur, and not only founded and runs Austin Consultants, the UK’s highest certified LabVIEW Consultancy and system integration company but also founded Green Running, developing a range of energy monitoring products and writing cutting-edge software to bring it to life.
Bill Goldie, CEO says “Peter has shown a real ability to match entrepreneurial flair with technical innovation. I think Peter’s story will inspire young University graduates to mix technological excellence with the work ethic required to make any business successful”.
The winners of the Energy Innovation Awards will be announced at a prestigious black-tie awards ceremony on Thursday 24th April at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
