Here at Green Running, we work closely with Sustainability Managers, Facilities Managers and Energy Managers to help their organisations understand their energy use, and recognise where they can make savings and lower their carbon footprint.
After recently launching our new website, we wanted to create some engaging content to help our clients better understand how our products can save them money and achieve sustainability targets, starting with our eController Energy Monitor and Power Analyser.
After putting together a brief for this exciting project, we began the search for the perfect partner to help us achieve our vision. In August this year, we moved into a new office in Sheffield, and with the recent launch of the new University Technical College in Sheffield city centre, and focus on creativity in the region were keen to work with local young people to create our product videos.
We got in touch with Norton Creative, a social enterprise backed by The Sheffield College who specialise in graphic design, video production, photography and web development, working with the likes of Sheffield City Council and Sheffield United Football Club.
Norton Creative employs a number of media apprentices as well as industry professionals who are actively developing their skills in digital, and collaborate with local businesses, SME’s and startup’s to help them create a web presence and develop engaging web content to help them promote their products and services.
We told them what we wanted to create and and were immediately put in touch with a team of young media apprentices (aged 16 – 18) who were keen to show us their skills and help us create a product video to share with our website visitors.
We spent a day filming with the team at a studio based at Norton College, in the capable hands of our Director, Lauren Bedford. We were made to feel at ease while these young professionals took our video brief and made it a reality, and helped us achieve our vision.
